Man Charged In Ex-Girlfriend’s Death

The man accused of gunning down his ex-girlfriend and wounding her boyfriend is being charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery.

Stephen A. Cherry, 46, faces those charges in connection with the death of Susan A. Foutz, 42, and the wounding of her boyfriend, Charles R. Babb, 39, according to court files unsealed this week. The shooting occurred June 2 at Foutz’s Hauser Lake home.

Cherry attempted to commit suicide after the shooting. He recovered and is in the Kootenai County Jail. , DataTimes
