No Noise In Irvin’s Room

The night manager of the hotel where Dallas Cowboys star Michael Irvin and three others were arrested with marijuana and cocaine testified nobody had complained about noise in their room.

Mike Bailey admitted he filed a false report to police when he told them others were being bothered by the noise from Irvin’s hotel room, prompting Irvin’s attorneys to claim the search was illegal.

On Wednesday, a motel security guard testified that he knew Irvin was in the room before he called police.

Thursday was the fifth day of pre-trial hearings in the case, which is scheduled to go to trial Tuesday.

Receiver Mark Ingram signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles for about $300,000 plus a $15,000 signing bonus, according to his agent, Michael George.

The Buffalo Bills solidified their offensive line by signing left tackle John Fina to a five-year contract. Terms of the agreement were not released.

Arizona has decided to drop out of the bidding for the 1999 Super Bowl to concentrate on trying to get the 2000 game.
