Associated Press

The league-leading North Stars had quite a blast in the fourth inning Tuesday.

Matt Armitage homered in the opener and Grant Reeves added a shot in the nightcap - both during deciding fourth innings - as the North Stars (11-3) swept the Royals 13-1, 4-1 in AAA Legion baseball play at Jackson Field.

Armitage was 3 for 3, with four runs batted in and two runs scored. His three-run homer led a 12-run fourth that helped end the game after five innings. Shawn Carlson added a two-run double.

Reeves had a solo homer to lead off the fourth in the second game.

Tysen Blank of the Royals (5-8) was 2 for 2 in the opener.
