Airliner Crashes With 123 Aboard

Compiled From Wire Services

A Faucett Airlines jet with 117 passengers and six crew aboard crashed Thursday night en route to the southern Peruvian city of Arequipa.

Airport officials said there were no survivors. They said that seven Chileans were the only foreigners on board.

The plane, a Boeing 737, was found five miles from Arequipa, in the Andes Mountains.

The crew of an Aeroperu commercial flight had spotted the plane in flames in the air, the airport officials said. No other details were available.
