Teen Girl Killed In Crash; Driver Sought

A girl riding in a crowded Ford Bronco died Thursday night in a rollover accident north of Millwood, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Authorities suspect alcohol was involved.

The teenage driver, identified as Tony Lazanis, 19, fled following the 9:20 p.m. crash on Northwood Drive in the Northwood subdivision, WSP Sgt. Chris Powell said.

The Bronco, which was carrying five teenagers, overturned in the front yard of a home. Empty beer cans were scattered nearby.

Some of the passengers later returned to the scene. They appeared to have been drinking, according to Powell.

Details were sketchy late Thursday, and the name of the victim was not immediately available.

The driver, who had not been found, faces possible felony charges for vehicular homicide and fleeing the scene of an injury accident, Powell said.
