Princess Diana angrily lashed out at her estranged in-laws Friday, accusing Buckingham Palace of “playing Ping-Pong with me.”
Furious about the wrangling over the terms of her impending divorce from Prince Charles, the princess told the Daily Mail:
“I have given them everything they wanted, and they are still not satisfied. I did not want this divorce, but I have agreed to it.”
At issue is whether Diana will keep the title Her Royal Highness.
She said her enemies in the palace pressured her to give up the title as part of the divorce settlement - forcing her to be known simply as Diana, Princess of Wales.
Almost immediately, Buckingham Palace fired back, insisting, “It was her decision to give up the royal title.”
“Now they are playing Ping-Pong with me,” the enraged princess said.
