Harrison Teen Dies Of Crash Injuries

Compiled From Wire Services

A 14-year-old Harrison boy injured in a car accident Monday died Friday from his head injuries.

Andy J. Giesbrecht was riding in his brother’s car when it slid on an icy road into a jacked-up pickup truck. The truck, driven by Kenneth V. Woempner, 26, of Harrison, had a 32-inch-high bumper that smashed through the car’s windshield.

Idaho State Police Cpl. Sean Daly said Giesbrecht probably wouldn’t have been seriously injured if the truck had been left at the manufacturer’s height.

Giesbrecht was a freshman at Kootenai High School.
