Kemp Ails, But Sonics Win

Associated Press

NBA

Shawn Kemp had nine points and seven rebounds before leaving with a sprained foot after 11 minutes Friday night, and the Seattle SuperSonics still won their 12th consecutive game by winning at Boston 106-96.

Kemp did not return, and the NBA’s hottest team didn’t need him. Gary Payton and Detlef Schrempf scored 21 points each and Hersey Hawkins 20. Seattle has won 18 of its last 19 games.
