Compiled By Maisy Fernandez

Eric T. Zawadski, son of Ed and Susie Zawadski, Colville, Wash., was recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.

Zawadski, a Colville High School graduate, joined the newly formed Troop 921 in 1992 with no previous Scouting experience but nevertheless was given charge of a large group of graduating Webelo Cub Scouts.

A recipient of 22 merit badges, he has served as quartermaster, senior patrol leader and junior assistant scoutmaster.

For his community service project, Zawadski organized a crew of Scouts to paint most of Colville’s 300 fire hydrants.

Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington, has been named the Best Large Outdoor Venue by the Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. The award was accepted by Bill Parsons, general manager, and Jeff Trisler, regional vice president.

Eastern Washington University recently announced its fall semester Dean’s List, which was published in a previous achievements column. However, some Moses Lake residents were inadvertently omitted:
