Authorities Wednesday flew over Auburn valley equipped with an infrared heat-detecting device to search for a 14-year-old boy who disappeared the same day his mother was killed.
The body of Susan Klungness, 53, was found Saturday at the family’s mobile home here by her husband, Ronald Klungness. Their son, Jeffrey, was missing.
A family friend, Martin Malcolm, is in custody, accused of taking Susan Klungness’ car.
But no one has been arrested in her slaying. And Jeffrey’s whereabouts were still unknown.
Authorities do not know whether to consider the missing teen a victim or a suspect.
