Student Arrested For Kidnapping, Assault

A Spokane Community College student was arrested Thursday after another student said he pulled a knife on her.

Robert L. Jamison, 44, E908 Sinto, was taken by police from a college classroom and booked into the Spokane County Jail in connection with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree assault.

The victim, a 27-year-old student, told police she had ridden to campus several times with the man without any problems.

On Thursday, the assailant drove the woman to a parking lot near the college, grabbed a knife from behind the car seat and held the knife to her throat, police said.
