Four Armed Men Rob Tavern, Patrons

From Staff And Wire Reports

A heavily armed band of men raided a Spokane Valley tavern late Friday, grabbed more than $1,000 from the till and then took wallets from 12 to 15 customers.

The four suspects, all wearing ski masks and gloves, hit the Valley-Ho Inn, 6412 E. Trent, at about 11:15 p.m.

They were armed with at least one shotgun and two pistols, according to a statement from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department.

No one with the department was available for comment Saturday.

“I’m relieved no one was hurt,” said manager Sharri Johnston. “That’s the most important thing.”

The cash register alone contained between $1,100 and $1,200, Johnston said.

The suspects appeared nervous, so customers and the bartender quickly laid down on the floor as ordered.
