Man Charged In Rape, Abduction Of Baby Girl

A 20-year-old man was charged with raping and beating a 1-year-old girl, and assaulting her 15-year-old mother while holding them in his home for four days, police said.

Nedrick Hogan was arrested Thursday and remained in jail Saturday under $120,000 bail.

The baby, who wasn’t being publicly identified, suffered a broken leg, second and third-degree burns on her right leg and stomach, genital trauma and welts, said police spokeswoman Lt. M.A. Thornton.
