Sharon Everts Spokane

Service for Sharon L. Everts, 55, will be at 2 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mrs. Everts, a 54-year Spokane resident, died Thursday. She was born in Fryburg, N.D.

She had worked for Columbia Lighting for 14 years.

She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Norwegian Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Don Everts; two sons, Kevin and Michael Everts, both of Spokane; one daughter, Tammy Pawley of Spokane; six grandchildren; her parents, Marvin Schultz and Betty Schultz both of Spokane; one brother, Wayne Schultz of Spokane; and one sister, Joyce Boone of Creston, Wash.

Alice Fry Coeur d’Alene

Graveside service for Alice Fry, 81, will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Fry, who was born in Sterling, Colo., died Friday.

She grew up in the Sandpoint area and attended the Grouse Creek School. She later moved to Lewiston and Headquarters, Idaho, before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1964.

She enjoyed fishing and picking huckleberries.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Robert; son, Larry Fry of Indian Valley, Idaho; sister Mary Ellen Street of Sandpoint; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Everett ‘Lou’ Hooker La Verkin, Utah

Service for Everett “Lou” Hooker, 87, will be today at 2 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Hooker, a former North Idaho resident, died Tuesday.

He was born in Baker, Ore., and worked as a rancher and logger before moving to Hayden Lake, Idaho, in 1940.

He owned the Flying H Dude Ranch and ski area until 1968. He later worked in property development until retiring in 1981 and moving to La Verkin.

Mr. Hooker enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding and was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Eagles Lodge. He was past president of the Idaho Cattleman’s Association.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine; three sons, Jack Hooker of Montana, Brian Hooker of Hayden and Robert Hooker of Spokane; a daughter, Betty Cohenour of Missoula; two sisters, Nellie of Baker and Lucille of Portland; several stepchildren; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
