James Harman Band Re-Opens Fort Spokane

To kick off its grand re-opening after a month of renovations, the Fort Spokane Brewery is bringing in a highly touted blues combo, the James Harman Band, tonight.

Since he began recording in 1964, Harman has been one of the few musicians who, like wine, has gotten better with age.

About his 1991 album “Do Not Disturb,” the Houston Chronicle wrote: “It’s easily the best recording in a not too shabby recording career.” Blues Access, one of the foremost blues voices, called it: “the quintessential blues album.”

Three albums later, Harman continues to mine the riches of the genre on his latest effort, “Black and White.”

Showtime’s at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at the Fort Spokane Brewery and Street Music. It’s $9 for Inland Empire Blues Society menbers.
