Police Traffic Unit Wins State Honor

The Spokane police traffic unit has won a state award for community service.

The Washington State Traffic Safety Committee presented the award to the Spokane unit Friday in Olympia.

The unit is being honored for teaching safety programs at high schools, working with the community on traffic and pedestrian safety issues and training school crossing guards.
