3 Face Drug Counts After Arrest On I-90

Kootenai County sheriff’s deputies arrested three people Friday after officers discovered more than two pounds of marijuana in their car.

Joseph H. Parilla, 25, of Spokane, Catherine A. Short, 40, of Sandpoint, and Todd W. Reynolds, 32, of Nevada, were arrested on charges of felony drug trafficking.

A deputy spotted their car weaving west on Interstate 90, according to a sheriff’s report.

When the deputy stopped the car and asked for the driver’s registration, two bags with marijuana fell out of the glove box, according to the report.

A drug dog and the deputies also found two large packages containing marijuana in the trunk.
