Sold On These Rolls

If you’ve thought the Great Harvest Bread Company’s cinnamon rolls were to die for, now you can get them to diet for.

Actually, Great Harvest’s new butter-free cinnamon rolls aren’t exactly a low-calorie food. But from a fat standpoint, they’re a bargain at a mere 2.5 fat grams in a plain roll, or 4 percent of total calories (the only fat comes from the eggs in the dough). Best of all, they’re still good and gooey.

Along with plain, look for them in walnut, raisin, blueberry and apple varieties, on a rotating basis.

Price: $1.10 per roll for plain, or $1.25 for one of the varieties.

Available: Great Harvest Bread Co. in Spokane at 2530 E. 29th (535-1146) and 816 W. Sprague (624-7502). Special orders available with 24 hours’ notice.
