Dollar Reverses Slide Against Yen
The dollar rose against the Japanese yen Tuesday, reversing recent sharp declines on data suggesting the U.S. economy is strengthening.
Improvement against the yen helped the dollar rise against the German mark and most other major currencies.
Signs of U.S. economic strength helped it snap back.
As of 4 p.m. in New York, the dollar stood at 105.13 yen, up from 104.67 yen Monday, and 1.5310 marks, up from 1.5265.
