A forum of Coeur d’Alene school board candidates has been rescheduled for May 15.
Sponsored by the League of Women Voters, the forum originally was set for May 9. It was changed to allow all three candidates to attend, said spokeswoman Mary Thorburn-Henry.
The time and place remain the same: 7 p.m. in the Coeur d’Alene High auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
The candidates are incumbent Jane Curtis and Herb Cheeley, who is running against her for the zone 5 position; and Edie Brooks, who so far is unopposed for the zone 4 seat.
Steve Schenk of North Idaho College will moderate. Among other questions, candidates will be asked how curriculum might be changed, how education should be financed in the face of population growth, and how they feel about the influence of the teacher’s union on education.
