L-C State Rips WSU

Troy Silva’s grand slam home run in the first inning powered the Lewis-Clark State Warriors to a 9-3 win over visiting Washington State on Wednesday evening in a non-conference baseball game at Harris Field.

The Warriors (38-9), behind the four-hit pitching of Matt Randel (6-0) and reliever Randy Wilson, scored six runs in the first two innings, then added three insurance runs in the final two innings.

Jered Fowler hit a three-run homer for WSU, which fell to 21-32.
