‘Friendly Fire’ Figure Held In Sexual Attack

Compiled From Wire Services

A former undercover policeman who was shot by a fellow officer in a “friendly fire” incident in 1994 has been arrested for an alleged sexual attack.

Desmond Robinson, 32, was arrested Friday on charges of sodomy, sexual abuse, attempted rape, assault and weapon possession. The alleged attack took place early Thursday in a car.

Police described the alleged victim as an acquaintance of Robinson’s.

Robinson was shot four times by Peter Del-Debbio in August 1994. Del-Debbio said Robinson, an undercover officer, charged toward him with a gun during a chaotic scene on a subway platform.

Del-Debbio was convicted in March 26 of second-degree assault.
