Clearing the bases

In the seven games started by right-hander Kevin Brown, the Florida Marlins have scored 11 runs. That’s the worst support for any pitcher in the major leagues. As a result, Brown has only a 2-4 record despite a 2.26 ERA… . Philadelphia placed outfielder Lee Tinsley on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained rib cage. He was injured while taking batting practice.
