Crum Offered Illinois Job

Spokane City Manager Roger Crum has been offered the top job in Evanston, Ill.

“They’ve made an offer to me,” Crum said Monday night. He said he is “still reviewing the information” and hasn’t decided whether to accept the position.

The Evanston City Council announced Crum was selected as its next city manager “pending contractual agreement.”

Crum withdrew his name from consideration for the top spot in Dayton, Ohio, because interviews for the two jobs were slated for the same weekend.

Evanston - a city of about 73,000 people near Chicago - is home to Northwestern University.
