For Friday Night Chills, ‘X-Files’ Marks The Spot

Compiled By Staff Writer Dan Web

If you’re an “X-Files” fan, you’ve probably already picked up a copy of Rolling Stone magazine. It features an All-“X-Files” cover.

Following in its recent tradition of risque imagery (remember Jennifer Aniston?), the cover boasts the two “X-Files” stars - David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson - splitting the sheets.

Inside, there’s more, including:

The show is “big” in Australia.

Duchovny, a graduate of Yale, was stomped in “Celebrity Jeopardy!” by horror author Stephen King.

In England, Anderson is often described as “the thinking man’s crumpet.”

And to what does that translate? “A juicy morsel,” explains Anderson, who once did the London punk scene.

Loose talk

Rosie Greer on O.J. Simpson’s supposed jail-cell confession (as reported by Knight-Ridder): “O.J. has never incriminated himself to me. He only confessed Jesus as his Lord.”

Say, she isn’t the bimbo from ‘Baywatch’ is she?

Traci Lords turns 28 today.

Near the end, life for Billie certainly was no holiday

Eartha Kitt, performing in her one-woman play based on the life of blues singer Billie Holliday, knows her character. She told the New York Times that the last time she saw Holiday, “she was singing on a stage in back of the bar and was wearing a black dress. I remember seeing her dirty white brassiere strap with the biggest safety pin. No one around cared that she was unkempt, no one cared enough about her.”

For Halle Berry, there will be no Justice in her life

The marriage may soon be over between actress Halle Berry and professional baseball player David Justice, but the hurt feelings will take longer to heal. “Every day wasn’t bliss, but I didn’t see that our problems were so great we’d be divorcing,” Berry said. “I’ve never known a girl who could throw a tantrum like she does,” said Justice.

You see, now he throws the GUITAR through the window

Sitcom star Sasha Mitchell (“Step By Step”), already on probation for spousal abuse, will serve 60 days after new charges that he allegedly hit his wife with a pillow (while she shielded their baby son), threw a chair against a wall and hurled his wife’s guitar through a window. Mitchell’s attorney stressed that Mitchell has improved in recent months.

And virtually no money in their pockets

What did the rest of the Bouvier-Kennedy family members think about the Jackie Onassis auction held by Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg and JFK Jr.? “It left a bad taste in our mouths,” said John H. Davis, son of Maude Bouvier Davis, Jackie’s aunt.

Seal? Say, didn’t he once sing ‘I am the walrus?’

Model Tyra Banks seems to be getting over the breakup of her relationship with filmmaker John Singleton by sharing time with British singer Seal.
