College Of Agriculture Honors Local Students
Three Inland Northwest students were recently honored by Washington State University’s College of Agriculture and Home Economics:
Valeri Pritchard, Colbert, was named the Family and Consumer Scientist of the Year. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pritchard.
Pritchard is a double major in child, consumer and family studies, and elementary education.
She was named to the Dean’s List and President’s Honor Roll and is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, the national residence hall honorary, and Phi Eta Sigma national honor society. She maintains a grade-point average of 3.93.
Erica Traxler, Pullman, a student in the coordinated undergraduate option in general dietetics, was named Top Junior in Family and Consumer Sciences. She received $500 from the Capital Press in Salem, Ore.
Traxler has maintained a 3.89 GPA while volunteering for the humane society, Home Health, the Palouse Hills Nursing Home and Meals on Wheels.
Sheri Babb, a sophomore from Cheney, was named Freshman of the Year by the Elliott Chapter of the Alpha Zeta honorary society for agriculture and home economics.
Babb, a 4.0 GPA student, is majoring in agricultural molecular genetics in cell biology. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Babb, Cheney.
Michelle F. Hache, a senior music and theater student at Jacksonville (Fla.) University, has been selected for the 1995-96 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
Hache, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha and Alpha Psi Omega, is the daughter of Marlene Hache, Nine Mile Falls, and is a graduate of University High School.
