Duncan Stays In School

While so many of his peers are rushing off campus in pursuit of early entry into the NBA, Wake Forest’s Tim Duncan is staying put.

Duncan, a 6-foot-10 All-American center, announced he will return for his senior season.

Another top junior center, 6-11 Erick Dampier of Mississippi State, said he would make himself available for the NBA’s June 26 draft.

Dampier has not hired an agent.

West Virginia junior guard Greg Simpson, who pleaded no contest to charges stemming from a hit-and-run accident, was dismissed from the team.
