Imelda Marcos Top Debtor In Congress

Former first lady Imelda Marcos, renown for her extravagant shopping sprees, was reported Friday to be the most indebted member of the Philippine Congress.

A financial statement from the 217 legislative members showed that the widow of the late President Ferdinand Marcos had a congressional-leading $1.1 million in debts based on assets of $2.7 million and $3.8 million in liabilities.
