Fema Experts Ready To Offer Help Today

From Staff And Wire Reports

Silver Valley residents needing advice on how to flood-proof their homes can get help from experts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency today and Thursday.

The two teams of experts visiting the area will operate out of vans filled with books, fliers, and pamphlets on flood reconstruction and flood insurance. All information is free and available to all residents.

In some cases, the experts can visit individual homes to give advice on specific problems. They will carry FEMA identification.

The FEMA teams will be at the Wallace Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center, off Interstate 90’s Exit 61, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Thursday, and on Jacob’s Gulch Road, across from the Gondolier in Kellogg, during the same hours.

Appointments for home visits can be made by calling 1-800-339-3006.
