Toni Kukoc of the Chicago Bulls won the NBA Sixth Man award.

Kukoc received 45 of a possible 113 votes from a panel of sports writers and broadcasters. Portland’s Arvydas Sabonis was second with 24 votes and Jayson Williams of New Jersey finished third with 14.

Sabonis had arthroscopic knee surgery Tuesday.

The team said Sabonis, 31, was expected to recover in time to play for his native Lithuania in this summer’s Olympic Games.
