Teen Charged In Death Of Friend

Associated Press

A 17-year-old boy has been charged in King County Juvenile Court with first-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of a friend.

The teen and Nathan Lines, 16, were trying to steal a car near Carnation on Feb. 27 when the teen shot Lines in the head with a 9-mm semiautomatic Uzi, investigators say.

The teen told investigators the gun accidentally discharged as Lines was hot-wiring the car.
