Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: In addition to using empty cube-style tissue boxes to store plastic bags, I also use them to sort and store my pantyhose and knee-highs by kind and color. This makes for a very neat and efficient hosiery drawer.

Also, many of the designs can be cut out and used to make attractive note cards, stationery or gift tags. - Linda Knight, Lake Kiowa, Texas

Dear Heloise: Another strong suggestion regarding communicating with persons having hearing problems: Don’t talk with your hands in front of your mouth!

It is amazing how many people prop their chin in their hand and talk through their palms, an unconscious habit but one which makes hearing their words almost impossible.

I have finally learned to ask people not to put their hands in front of their mouth. Most of them just don’t realize they are doing it. - Barbara Wiskow, Dallas xxxx
