Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I have been clipping and saving your hints for over 30 years. One I did not see in your book that I found works well is for a child’s wading pool. Put it on the kitchen floor before going on vacation. Put all your houseplants in it and fill it with enough water to keep them moist until you return. You don’t have to clean out the bathtub as soon as you return home so your family can take a bath or shower. A baby bathtub works if you don’t have many plants. - NaDene Burns, Bay City, Ore.

Dear Heloise: Regarding a recent time-saving hint concerning removing lint from the dryer screen, I find using a handful of the lint itself will easily remove smaller amounts from the screen. - Lucy M. Waldner, Doland, S.D.
