State Campaign Will Promote Safe Driving

Associated Press

The Idaho Transportation Department’s Office of Highway Safety will sponsor a campaign this summer to promote safe highways for motorists using the state’s roads for travel and recreational opportunities.

State law enforcement agencies, the Idaho State Liquor Dispensary and Mothers Against Drunk Driving also are participating in the campaign.

Focus of the campaign is to encourage residents to drive sober and to use seat belts and child restraints.

“Life in Idaho Is Too Great to Lose” promotional materials (20,000 brochures, 20,000 key rings, 30,000 stickers, 10,000 litter bags and 2,000 posters) will be distributed statewide as part of the campaign.
