Services Planned For Memorial Day

Memorial Day events in Coeur d’Alene include:

The Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7315 N. Government Way, will hold a 1 p.m. service featuring Sen. Larry Craig, who will be honored by the Post Falls American Legion Post 143. An open house and refreshments will follow.

Coeur d’Alene VFW Post 889 will conduct five Memorial Day ceremonies: 9 a.m. at Veterans Park on Third Street near the Coeur d’Alene Resort, with Sen. Larry Craig speaking at 9:15 a.m.; a lakeside service in the same area to honor sailors lost at sea; 9:30 a.m. at the St. Thomas Cemetery, near the intersection of 23rd and Sherman; 10 a.m. at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery; and 11 a.m. at Forest Cemetery, 221 S. Fifth, followed by an open house at VFW Post 889, 406 N. Fourth.
