Women’s League To Hold Tryouts

About 550 women who have college and international experience, some from as far back as the mid-1980s, will head to Atlanta to audition for the 100-player draft pool of the American Basketball League, to be determined by Sunday.

Last fall, ABL officials announced their intention to begin play this winter, and have since awarded franchises to eight medium- to-small-market sites. The East will consist of Atlanta, Columbus, Richmond and Hartford/Springfield, while the West will include Denver, Portland, San Jose and Seattle.
