Boise-Area Schools Are ‘Sick Buildings’

State officials have declared some schools in the Boise and Meridian school districts “sick buildings.”

Sick building syndrome, as it is called, often is caused by poor air circulation.

The most recent case was at Boise’s Lowell Elementary School, where staffers earlier this year reported headaches and lethargy by the end of the day.
