In a change of policy, the Coeur d’Alene School District is requiring all students - not just new ones, as in the past - to register at their elementary school on Aug. 20.
The change is prompted by redrawing of some school zone boundaries and the need to verify enrollment numbers for September, district officials said.
Families who will be out of town on registration day are asked to pick up the necessary packets before schools close for the summer, or during the summer at the district office, 311 N. 10th St. They should arrange for the materials to be delivered to their school on Aug. 20.
All students must provide proof of residency: a utility bill with address, lease agreement, rent receipt or building permit.
New students only will need to bring immunization records and birth certificates.
