Top-seeded Lewis-Clark State rode the three-hit pitching of Adam Huxhold and Mike Megee to a 3-1 win over St. Ambrose in the third round of the NAIA Baseball National Championship.
The Warriors (51-11) got four singles from leadoff hitter Jose Rijo-Berger and scored all of their runs in the first two innings to make a winner out of Huxhold (6-1), who allowed only two hits over the six innings he worked.
LCSC, the only remaining unbeaten team, faces St. Thomas (47-20) tonight at 5. Cumberland (43-20) and St. Ambrose (41-18) meet in an elimination game at 1.
