Soloists Join For Triple Concerto

Travis Rivers

Brazilian-born pianist Aida Ribeiro Mechetti will join Spokane Symphony concert master Kelly Farris and principal cellist John Marshall as soloists in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Symphony tonight at 8 p.m. at the Opera House.

If the pianist’s name has a familiar ring, it could be because she is married to the Spokane Symphony’s music director, Fabio Mechetti. He will also conduct the orchestra in Copland’s “Danzon Cubano” and Prokofiev’s Suite from “Romeo and Juliet.”

The concert begins at 8 p.m. Reserved seat tickets range from $13 to $28 and are available at the Symphony box office in the Seafirst Building, 624-1200, and at all G&B outlets, 325-SEAT.
