Chamberlain Appears Likely To Win Seat On Nic Board Of Trustees

North Idaho College trustee

Former state legislator and Senator Barb Chamberlain appeared Tuesday to be winning her bid to serve on the North Idaho College Board of Trustees.

Early results showed Chamberlain with about 60 percent of the vote in a three-way race against Jim Kimball and Dave Paquin to win the seat now held by 10-year trustee Betty McLain.

Chamberlain, 33, served four years in the Legislature, and runs her own book editing and production firm.

The only candidate for the seat held by outgoing chairman Norm Gissel was Steve Widmyer, an NIC graduate who now is controller for Hagadone Hospitality.
