Man Faces First-Degree Armed Burglary Charge

Thu., Nov. 7, 1996

A man accused of using a stun gun on his former girlfriend and threatening to kill her is now facing a reduced charge of first-degree armed burglary.

Timothy A. Price, 33, was booked into the Spokane County Jail on Oct. 30 on one count of attempted first-degree murder after police said he attacked Sheila Church in the basement of her house at 1412 W. 16th.

Church told police Price pressed a knife to her throat and said he was going to kill her, then commit suicide.

He was arrested later that night at his mother’s home in Colbert.

This week, prosecutors decided there wasn’t enough evidence to pursue the attempted murder charge and opted for burglary.
