Missions Will Benefit From Church’s Auction

A silent auction to benefit missions around the world begins at First Church of the Open Bible at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Dinner will be served during the auction. The cost is $5.

Tickets also are on sale for the church’s production of “The Gospel According to Scrooge,” an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic, “The Christmas Carol.” Tickets are free and available in limited quantities at the church office. Performances are at the church, 8303 N. Division. Show times are 7 p.m. Dec. 4-7 and 6 p.m. on Dec. 8. For more information, call 467-5122.

Friendship Day at Trinity Baptist

Trinity Baptist Church, 6528 N. Monroe, is hosting Friendship Day on Sunday.

The purpose of the event is to extend the hand of friendship to members of the community.

Services will be at 8:45 a.m and 11 a.m. Refreshments will be served in the gym from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Women’s Club sponsors bazaar

The Women’s Club of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church is sponsoring a fall festival bazaar Saturday from 9 a.m to 5 p.m.

The bazaar in the parish hall, 4408 N. Jefferson, will features art and crafts, home-baked goods, a boutique and a country store. Lunch will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Beer and sausage will be served from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for $3.

Proceeds will be used to purchase supplies for the church.

Craft fair this weekend

Mary Queen Catholic Church, 3423 E. Carlisle, is holding a craft fair from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The fair will feature jewelry, Christmas crafts, woodcrafts and needlework. For more information, call 483-4384.

Greek pastry sale starts today

A rummage sale and Greek pastry sale will be at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday. The church is at 1703 N. Washington.

Christian singer performing

Christian contemporary singer Randy Stonehill will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday at Fourth Memorial Church, 2000 N. Standard.
