Police Find No Clues In Woman’s Murder

Spokane police uncovered no leads Wednesday in the case of a woman found slain in her West Central apartment.

A police officer who went to a triplex at 1928 W. Broadway to check on Teresa Marie Gunder discovered her dead on the floor about noon Tuesday.

Gunder, 67, sustained “head trauma,” and her apartment had been ransacked, police said. A window on the east side of her apartment was broken out.

The patrolman went to the apartment after someone called police and asked they check on the woman, who apparently lived by herself. The caller hasn’t been identified.

Detectives did not say Wednesday how Gunder was killed, adding results from an autopsy wouldn’t be available for some time. , DataTimes MEMO: Cut in Spokane edition
