Dole Settles For Letterman

With no transition duties to worry about, presidential election loser Bob Dole is headed for an appearance with David Letterman.

Dole is a scheduled guest on “Late Show with David Letterman” tonight, along with broadcaster Ted Koppel and singer Mary Chapin Carpenter, Letterman spokeswoman Rosemary Keenan said Thursday.

Letterman’s show is being broadcast from Washington that night, part of a series of trips he’s making around the country during the critical November ratings “sweeps” period.
