After 15 Years, Valley Bible Getting Church Of Its Own

Nina Culver Correspondent

The Valley Bible Church is putting the finishing touches on a new building at 3021 S. Sullivan. Construction on the 16,000-square foot building began in May, with church members doing a lot of the work.

Members of the 15-year-old church have never had a building to call their own. Most recently, the church leased space from the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Mission and Pines. That site is now being developed as a motel.

The new church building on Sullivan Road is expected to be completed by the end of the month.

The church purchased the property on Sullivan 12 years ago, said pastor Paul Winslow, but waited until recently to build because members chose to avoid a large mortgage by raising money in advance to pay for construction.
