Republic’s Rickard Rattles Ritzville, 34-7

B-11/B-8

Mark Rickard caught six passes for 120 yards, scored three touchdowns and snagged three interceptions to lead the unbeaten Republic Tigers to a 34-7 Northeast B-11 league victory over the visiting Ritzville Broncos on Friday night.

Rickard scored touchdowns on a 75-yard kickoff return, a 65-yard pass from Jason Baldwin and a 22-yard fumble return.

Republic (7-0, 9-0), the NEB-11’s No. 1 seed, will host either Mabton or Kittitas next Saturday at 2 p.m. in the first round of the state playoffs.

Jason Warriner rushed for 136 yards on 26 carries for Ritzville (4-3, 5-3).

Reardan 30, Liberty 0

The Indians piled up 405 yards of offense en route to a playoff berth with a decisive win over the host Lancers.

The victory makes Reardan (5-2, 7-2) the No. 3 seed from the NEB11. Liberty finishes 4-3 in league and 4-5 overall.

Travis Titchenal rushed for 141 yards on 12 attempts and started the Indians rolling with a 56-yard TD run in the first quarter.

Springdale 30, Selkirk 6

Jasent Stricker ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns and Jeremy Montgomery rushed for 104 yards and a TD to lead the Chargers (2-5, 2-6) to a win over the visiting Rangers (0-7, 1-8).

Southeast B-11

Asotin 37, Gar-Pal 36

Luke Appleford rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries to give the Pirates (4-1, 7-1) a win over the Vikings (3-2, 6-3) at Asotin.

The win gives Asotin the No. 2 seed to the playoffs from the SEB-11.

Waitsburg 32, DeSales 14

The Cardinals scored 26 points in the first half and the defense took over in the second half as visiting Waitsburg (3-2, 6-2) shocked the previously unbeaten Irish (4-1, 8-1).

James Riggs had 19 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown to lead Waitsburg. DeSales is still the SEB-11’s No. 1 seed.

Pomeroy 19, T-O 13 (OT)

Erin McCabe’s 25-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted the visiting Pirates (1-4, 2-6) to a win over the Nighthawks (0-5, 1-8).

Northeast B-8

Odessa 29, Pateros 14

The Tigers scored 16 points in the fourth quarter to rally past the defending state champion Billygoats (3-3, 5-4) at Odessa.

Odessa (6-0, 9-0) capped a perfect season with the Northeast B-8 league title. The Tigers will host the No. 3 seed from the Southeast B-8 in two weeks.

Cusick 48, Columbia 16

Justin Finley rushed for 201 yards on just nine carries and scored four touchdowns to propel the Panthers to a victory over the host Lions.

The win means the Panthers (4-2, 6-3) will head to state as the No. 3 seed from the Northeast B-8.

Ryan Miller scored on runs of 78 and 42 yards in the second half for the Columbia (2-4, 2-7).

Inchelium 52, Lind 6

Jessie Schumacher and Gaylen Desautel each scored three touchdowns to lead the Hornets (5-1, 6-2) over the visiting Bulldogs (0-6, 0-7). Desautel finished with 222 yards rushing.

Inchelium (5-1, 6-2) already owns the No. 2 seed in the NEB-8.

Southeast B-8

Touchet 56, Colton 28

The Indians (5-0, 8-1) jumped out to a 42-6 halftime lead and romped past the Wildcats (4-1, 5-3) in a battle for the league title.

Touchet heads to the playoffs as the No. 1 seed while Colton enters as the No. 2 seed.

Southeast B-11

LC-W 66, Rosalia 58

Rosalia’s Bill Lathrop piled up 269 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough as the Tigercats (2-3, 4-4) held off the host Spartans 2-3, 3-5).

LaCrosse-Washtucna, Rosalia and St. John-Endicott play a three-way tiebreaker Monday in Oakesdale to decide the No. 3 seed from SEB-11.
