Seahawks’ Warren Expects To Play Sunday

Compiled From Wire Services

Asked about his aching ankle, Seattle Seahawks halfback Chris Warren responded with his thumb.

Warren gave a “thumbs-up” to his chances of playing and starting Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. After missing two days of practice, Warren returned to the field to reclaim his starting job and proclaim himself fit.

Seahawks coach Dennis Erickson listed him as questionable all week. On Friday, Erickson altered the prognosis.

“Chris looked like he was about full speed,” Erickson said. “I don’t think the rest will hurt him. He was able to come out today and get some time in. It would be difficult if he didn’t practice at all.”

Warren becomes the second Seahawks offensive player to come back from injuries this week. Tight end Christian Fauria practiced all week after injuring his shoulder last Sunday.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Don Beebe did not miss the birth of his third child, and is expected to play Sunday against Kansas City.

Induced labor made it possible.

The Packers said Beebe’s wife, Diana, gave birth to an 8-pound, 2-ounce girl early Friday after doctors had coaxed the procedure along.

Beebe said doctors had told them that, without inducing labor, the baby would have probably been born this weekend while the Packers were in Kansas City for their game with the Chiefs.
