Ewu Collects 99-84 Exhibition Victory

Kevin Lewis scored 22 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead Eastern Washington to a 99-84 exhibition men’s basketball win over the visiting Blue Angels Saturday.

The Eagles shot 54 percent from the floor. They hit 7 of 14 3-pointers in the first half when they built a 50-33 lead. Travis King came off the bench to score 16 points.

Freshman Joanna Smith tossed in a team-high 15 points to lead host Washington State to an 80-73 exhibition win over Brahe of Sweden.

The Cougars led 49-29 at the half, but Jennifer Scanlon, who led all scorers with 22, helped Brahe get to within 77-71 late in the game.
