Chuck Pinkerton hit Forrest Williams with a two-point conversion in overtime to lift Willamette to a 28-27 victory over Pacific Lutheran in Northwest Conference of Independent Colleges action at Puyallup, Wash.

With the win, the No. 12-ranked Bearcats (7-1, 4-0) clinched their first NCIC title as well as a berth in the NAIA Division II national playoffs. Pacific Lutheran is (6-2, 3-1) ranked No. 9 in the nation.

Erik Moran scored on a pass from Darren Erath and Ryan Wiggins took the ball in from the 1-yard line as the Vikings (7-1) blanked the Clansmen (5-4) in NAIA Division II play at Bellingham, Wash.
